Charming North Carolina DIY Wedding
This charming wedding from Shanna Duffy Photography is filled with images of wonderful DIY details, an amazing little chapel, and a darling couple! Seriously, take a gander at this lovely wedding and discover all the charm!
Jonathan and Misty’s’ Winter wedding was classic and traditional. We began in a centuries old chapel ( used for wedding since 1809!! ) at Tanglewood Park in Clemmons NC. There the couple had made their own beautiful florals, with the help of the brides mom. In addition because the old chapel is not heated, the bride provided “hot Hands” in a hand sewn bag to warm her guests hands up. Acoustic Guitar played the bride down the aisle. I especially loved Misty’s gown, it was perfectly fitted with a sweetheart neckline, and breathtaking on her. This beautiful couple was down for anything, even tree climbing!! Despite the frigid weather, we had lots of fun taking portraits both at Tanglewood Park, and even made a quick stop outside of the reception in downtown Winston Salem. The reception, held at the Hickory Room in North Carolina was beautiful and intimate. This Super-Bride made her own cake, and it was one of the most beautiful cake displays I have ever seen, I can’t say enough how creative Misty and her mom are! Inspired by shades of deep purple and green the gorgeous floral and decor really set the mood in the Hickory room lending the perfect backdrop for this intimate reception where Jonathan Serenaded his bride with an original song he wrote himself titled: Rose colored glasses. There was not a dry eye in sight! A sparkler send off was the perfect ending to the night.
