Charming Rustic Whimsy Styled Shoot
Holy mega swoon factor! If you’re a gal who loves all things rustic but still loves a hint of glam – you’re going to totally fall in love with the styling & inspiration from this styled shoot by Kirstyn Marie Photography! LOVE!
I had this idea and concept for a particular styled shoot in my head for awhile and after my first conversation with Hannah of Hannah Hildebrandt Events, I knew this one would be something extraordinary.
When Hannah and I discussed our goals for this shoot we agreed that our vision was to combine two popular wedding styles: bring together charming rustic barn and chic whimsical, refined further with elegant southern touches. With the assistance of a few amazing vendors, this styled shoot was magnificently designed and executed, boasting two styles, that when combined, displayed a wedding trend that I feel will always be sought after: the overall presence of brilliant loveliness.
The gorgeous barn at Back Bay Farms maintained the whimsical southern quality, while the vintage stain glass windows added the classic, charming feel we had envisioned. I could not have been more thrilled with the table design; an old wooden door transformed into a table and distressed with neutral tones, combined with a gorgeous floral runner. We added naturally shed antlers painted gold to compliment the table settings adorned with simple stationary. The pink, cream, gold, and peach tones were carried throughout the details with a simple naked cake adding more rustic charm and topped with additional elegant floral pieces. Lastly we added wooden crates accompanied with a few drapes of lace to tie in a feminine feel.
We dressed the bride in a glamorous, yet soft and dreamy ball gown accessorized with a delicate crystal belt with pops of gold and kept the groom casual in a simple button down and khakis.
The shoot displays exactly what happens when country rustic charm meets chic, whimsical and timeless elegance.
